
ABOUT ME
Megumi Nakamura is a New York based director, actor, and writer hailing from San Francisco, California. Megumi accepts the pronouns they/she and identifies as non-binary. They have spent their training and career in the pursuit of fostering safe spaces for open dialogue and understanding; where collaboration can fully thrive. Consequently, their work often examines both intersectionality and the power of individuality. Megumi received a B.F.A. in musical theater from the University of Michigan and continues to seek opportunities to honor the artists that came before them while finding ways to dismantle the systems that threaten to hold back the next generation of artists.
Megumi most recently directed their own adaptation of Shakespeare’s TWELFTH NIGHT at Artistree Theatre in Woodstock, Vermont in Spring 2023.
